RA RA RA RA RA GOOOOO COUGARS!!!

TOUCHDOWN!

There was a whole lot of this going on in Saturdays BYU vs. UCLA game. I just have to say I can't get enough of football season. I seriously get so excited for Saturdays, it is the highlight of my week. We all get our BYU shirts on, Maile's cheerleading equipment out and cheer our hearts out in front of the tv. Since we can't be there at the games, which is totally killing me, we got us cable so we can see every game. I still get insanely jealous of all the fans who get to be at the game, so we are going to Utah in 2 weeks for the Utah State and New Mexico games. Hoodie Hoo! We figure we've got to see my brother and cousin play before they head off on their missions

The New Dew

Emmy always loves wearing hats I think she's been embarrased of her mulet, so I decided it was time to help her out, although I still love when she wears cute hats like this (my neighbor made it for Maile's birthday, I think they are the cutest hats I've ever seen)
A bit of a struggle
TADAAAAA!!!
We finally chopped the mulet. I really should have done it a long time ago, but I'm always scared that I'll really screw it up (since the only time I've ever cut hair was Aaron's and he has never trusted me since). But, despite a little busy squirmy girl I was quite pleased with the outcome, just don't look to close. I think she looks so cute with her new dew. She still might get called a boy cause it is pretty short, but it has more of a feminine look to it, don't ya think?

3rd Time's the Charm

So, call us crazy but yes we painted, didn't like it so we primed, primed a 2nd coat and painted again, and once again we didn't like it so we primed and painted for the third time!!! Now these walls in our house are very well protected with about 9 coats of paint/primer on them. But, I can finally say that I love the way our paint job turned out. It was becoming really discouraging putting so much time and effort into painting and not liking the final product. We also bought 2 other colors we didn't like, but at least we realized we didn't like them from the first couple strokes. Finally after 3 weeks, 14 gallons of paint, verge of emotional breakdowns, and who knows how many hours of painting we got the whole house finished. WAHOO!!! After a weeks recovery we are so glad we did it, the house looks much better and our house is liveable once more. Well now that I am a pro painter I don't think I will ever take on a project like this again. At first I had a lot of fun with the new colors and seeing how different it looked, but by the end when we kept having to repaint and prime, I was hating everything about it. We didn't take any pictures of the 1st color bright red, just imagine fire engine red.. yuck! It was just the accent walls in the kitchen and arch we painted 3 times not the whole house, just to clarify.

Color choice #2
Aaron saw this color combo in a magazine and fell in love with the idea so in order to get it out of his system we had to try it. It just wasn't having the same effect on him in our house.

Color choice #3 is here to stay....hooray!

These pictures make this red look a bit orangey or something, but the real color is just more of a muted red.

We tried doing a video tour of the house, but it wasn't working, so until I can figure it out, here's some pictures.

Happy Birthday Kamaile!!!

Wow Kamaile turned 3 today!! CRAZY! It was so fun. Although, this was my first time throwing a birthday party and it made me realize just how great my mom was for not only letting me have birthday parties but I pretty much had parties for any other occasion I wanted to like Halloween, Valentines, Easter, or just cause I wanted one. So nice of my mom, cause this was a bit more work than I had planned on and it wasn't even big or extravagant. This was also one of those moments that you put a lot of effort into but forget to capture the moments, so we didn't get many great pictures, which sometimes is a huge reason why I want to put more effort into things cause I visualize the cute pictures, well these pictures will just be in my memory I guess.
So here it is my first attempt at a fancy cake. The cake lady on the how to video sure made it look a lot easier than it was. But, I must say I was pretty proud of it for the first 2 hours or so, but by the time it was ready for the party and pictures it was gradually getting lower and lower until it eventually did tip over. Oh well, Maile loved her princess cake, so I guess that makes it all worth it, right? We had a swimming party with her friends in the day then got her all fancied up in her new princess costume from Grandma to go our for a princess dinner date. She loves when Aaron takes us all on a dinner date to a restaurant, so she had fun looking like a princess for this one. Cute girls after church. My brothers friend made these adorable matching dresses.

Aaron's brother Spencer came down from Pheonix for the weekend. The girls sure had fun with him.
